Ten purple bottles...

I've really been bitten by the bug here. The beads are from Bijoux Beads and got here in super fast speed. 24 hours and I was working with them. I made two.

The second one was made in a fit of insomnia. I made the beads from verdilak's tutorial over on Craftster.

Something about dieing hard...

Crafts are addictive. Before internet shopping came into my life I had two big addictions, knitting and making jewellery.

Jewelery supplies where mainly bought from The Bead Shop in Manchester. The necklace is the result of my last visit.

Only that's a train ride away, a train ride I make less and less often. So I stopped. But now. But now I can buy bead in Huddersfield. And I have. And so the gloomy earrings were born.

The red bracelet is product of some recycling.

Speaking of recycling. The box is where I'm keeping little bags of seed beads. It was going to have a green heart but I didn't have any green glitter. So I used some red. So instead of being the 'I'm super madly envious' box it's the little box of (slightly morbid) hope. Or something.

The ribbon headband is an adorable project from the craftster book. I have a second one made up for Louise.

My Cupcake and Me

When I was walking in the Irwell I realized that I didn't have a picture of my top. It's Simplicity 3835 which is a Built by Wendy creation. There's more embroidery too, a cupcake.

Floral Friday

So the flower fabric has been turned into things. With some patches left over.

First is the A-Line skirt. Same pattern as the houndstooth bellow. I owe my life to Eithne Farry. Especially as the bag is indebted to her instructions on making a gusset. It was made big enough for knitting. Then I made a pocket on the front. After I'd sewn it up mind. So that was a bitch, not to mention the channels for the knitting needles on the front (made for 5mm and 10mm)

I'm also indebted to Jenny Heart today. I finally bought Sublime Stitching and I want to order at least half the stock off the website (the camping theme would be great for Guides). I'm in the process of reconing a fleece jumper and turning it into shrug so I put a rose on the back of it. My second project shall appear shortly.
